Exquisitely painted portrait of a young man – probably a boy of around 14 – in a high collared Biedermeier jacket.

 He is holding a paintbrush, and several small pots of colored paint sit to one side.

Circa 1820-1830

Some light spotting in the canvas – light restoration would easily remove.
