Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Nesbitt is best known for his series of over 400 paintings of flowers.

As a young man, Jean Souverbie met Maurice Denis and Paul Serusier, who inspired him to take up a career as an artist. He was influenced in turn by the Nabis and by Cubism, but the uniqueness of Souverbie's style is the classical spirit he brought to his work.

Jörg Shimon Schuldhess

(1941 Basel - .1992 Basel)

Schuldhess was a close friend of Jean Dubuffet and became interested in and influenced by Art Brut, particularly the work of Adolf Wolfli, whose influence is evident in this work.

Schuldhess works can be found in collections of the Kunstmuseum, Basel, the Geneva Museum of Art and Hitory, and hte Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris.
