This engraving signed "F Grunder" is most likely the work of the Swiss artist Friedrich Johannes Grunder who was born in 1880 in St. Gallen and died in 1969 in New York.

Grunder was known for his beautiful engravings of landscapes.

This handsome image shows a pathway leading towards a village in Normandy (Normandie).

It is engraved in a warm red-toned sepia.
