Pewter Wine Pot

 

An attractive covered pewter screw topped wine container. It has four facets with different motifs. One side caries the initials S.G. and the date 1771.

 

We believe that this piece probably dates to the late 19th or early 20th Century when many older styles of pewter were being revived.
