Charles Louis (1771–1847) was archduke of Austria and the brother of Holy Roman Emperor Francis II.

 

He was one of the top Austrian commanders in the Napoleonic wars and became minister of war and chief commander of the Austrian forces.

 

He defeated Napoleon I at Aspern in 1809 but was defeated by Napoleon at Wagram later the same year.
