"Les Epoques" of the Life of Napoleon

This wonderful antique engraving circa 1835 shows the phases of the life of Napoleon.

From left he is shown as a General during the exploration of Egypt (pyramids in the background), as a Consul during the period when he crossed the Alps via the St. Bernard pass (he stands on a map, but with alpine snow at his feet), in 1807 at the peace of Tilsitt, and in 1814 in Fontainbleau.

The engraving published in Paris Chez Martin, Palais de Justice, and in New York by Baily and Ward.

Conditon: This sheet has considerable spotting and staining -- as shown -- particularly in the margins. There is also some lighter discoloration in a few areas of the sheet.

Dimensions: 13 X 9.5 inches
