Guillaume Marie Anne Brune

Guillaume Marie Anne Brune (March 13, 1763—August 2, 1815) was a French soldier and political figure. Before the revolution he studied law and worked as a political journalist. He Fought under Bonaparte in the Italian Campaign, and Napoleon named him a Marechal of France. In 1802 Napoleon sent him to Constantinople as Ambassador to the Ottoman Empire. Brune during which period Brune also established diplomatic relations France and the Persian empire. He was murdered at the beginning of the Bourbon restoration during the "White Terror" in Avignon.
