Knights of Augsburg

16th Century Woodblock prints from Paul Hector Mair's "Geschlechter Buch ..der .. Statt Augspurg." Published in Frankfurt am Main by Sigmund Feyerabend in 1580.

Each full-page woodcut depicts a member of the great Augsburg families shown in full armor with their coats of arms beside them. The family names are given at the top.

The prints are two sided. There is a second knight on the back of each page.

The artist was Christoph Weiditz II.
